This was a really great read. I enjoyed how lighthearted and fun this book was. The story is about two main characters Nora and Will who have a very brief meeting when they are young and are re united by chance 16 years later. At the heart of the story is the apartment building that brings them together and all the fun characters who live there. I loved how the apartment building was woven into the story and it was a really fresh and fun perspective to add to a romance novel. All the characters were really likeable and you just wanted to root for everyone in the story. Thanks to Kensington Books and SheSpeaks for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sweet Potato Black Bean Tacos

A delicious vegetarian meal perfect for meat free Monday. I received a package of Sweet Potatoasts to review. Sweet potatos are one of my favorite foods so this was a perfect food for me to try out.  The Sweet Potatoasts are simply frozen sweet potatos that you simply cook in the oven. There are tons of great ideas on Pinterest for meal ideas to pair with the Sweet Potatoasts.

I choose to make sweet potato black bean tacos with mine based on pinterest inspiration. 

The potatoasts are easy and just need to be cook in the oven. While they are cooking I cook the black beans and prepare the toppings.

I really like meals like his since everyone can customize their meal to how they want and that is a win win for everyone.

Book Review: The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks

Plot: A scorned ex-wife seeks to ruin her ex-husbands wedding to his new wife.  Is the ex-wife just biter and jealous or is there more hiding beneath the surface to her compulsive behavior.


My Review: This is the second book I read from Greer and Hendricks. Usually when I read a book I really enjoy I like to read another from the same author. I found this at the library and decided to give it a read. It's really hard to describe the plot and what I liked since there are so many twists and turns I do not want to give away any surprises or details. There were quite a few times where I was shocked at what the reality was since I was expecting something completely different. The main character Vanessa is who the story centers around. There were many times in the story I went from liking her to disliking her and in between. That seemed to happen with a couple other characters as well. This shows how many different twists there are in the story.I really like that I had no idea how this story was going to turn out. In the beginning I was thinking it was going a completely different direction so I was very pleased with the surprise ending.

Skincare Try: Vela Contour Chin and Neck Mask

Masks are probably my favorite skincare product 🙌 I try to find unique masks to mix up my routine. I tried out the Vela Contour Revital Chin Mask and Cream. I was sent a free refill pack of masks and a free tube of the after mask neck cream. I like that it is a two step process and it is very effective. I was impressed with the results of using my first mask and cream combo. The mask is made to tone,tighten, and shape the chin and neck area. You leave the mask on for 45 minutes and then apply the cream after. The mask had a little trouble staying on so make sure you lay down when using this or have something to hold the mask up.  The cream has a great texture and I really like how well it applied and absorbed.
